This year, the English annual retreat will take place from Fri. May 29 to Sun. May 31st. at Blue Mountain Lodges. It will be a great time to relax and enjoy a time of fellowship with each other. Pastor Brian Quan will also be our guest speaker.

The early bird deadline is Feb. 1st. After that, fees will go up $10.
Adults (gr. 7 and up) - $110
Elementary aged children - $80
Kindergarten and below - $25

Welcome to Kidzone, TCMC’s newly reorganized Children’s Ministry. Our missions is to partner with parents in teaching and leading children on their journey to know God personally and to grow in their faith, so they can be mature and active Christians in the church and in the world.

The 3 new children’s groups are Discovery Kids (0-3 years old), Little Explorers (4-6 years old), and Young Adventurers (Grades 2-5).

Happy New Year Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful holiday and we’re looking forward to what God has in store for us in 2009.

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 18th and 25th at 11:30am after Sunday service. This is a time where we’ll reflect on the past year and plan for 2009. Reports will be given on both dates, voting for the new church board members and the budget will take place on the 18th, and the new church board installation will take place on the 25th. Lunch will be served afterwards.

Join us for a fun night of dinner and a movie at TCMC! We’ll meet at 5:30pm. for a potluck dinner (bring a dish to share, or order a pizza or a bucket of chicken) and the film will begin at 6:30pm. There will also be an alternate craft activity for anyone who just wants to hang out or for kids who’ve already seen the movie. All are welcome!

Our annual Leadership Retreat will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1^st. All leaders in EMEC, Youth and Children’s Ministries are expected to attend. It will be a time to encourage and affirm one another as leaders and to work together on sharing our new vision and theme for 2009. Please RSVP Tracy Ho by Oct. 18^th. Refreshments will be served at 9:30am and the program will begin at 10am.

Our annual Harvest Festival on Oct. 31st is fast approaching and we need your help physically, emotionally, and spiritually. On this evening, we’ll have a fun night of games and treats for everyone in the community. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board so please give us your time and availability. Also, we will not be accepting any candy donations this year, but if you would like to contribute, please offer financially. You can donate during offering time by marking “harvest festival” on the offering envelope. Please contact Tracy Kwan for more information.

There will be no English Sunday Service this August 3rd as we are away for our summer retreat at Sherkston Shores. Please pray for safe travels and our great fellowship during this time.

There will also be no Sunday Service at TCMC on August 10th as we will be joining in a Mennonite service at Willowgrove.

Thanks to everyone who came out to help and support the car wash for Jack’s trip to China! He will be leaving this Thurs. for GuiZhou, China where he will be working with Partners International. They will be teaching English and the gospel to students from the “Class of Hope”. Please keep Jack and his team in prayer for safe travel and the opportunities and experiences they will encounter.
