Thanks to Agatha Wisniowska from World Vision for coming to speak to us on July 16th and for Laurel and Tracy who helped to translate (it was an extremely valiant attempt, very impressive girls!).

Agatha commended the youth group for their contribution in this year’s 30 Hr. Famine and also encouraged us to follow in their example of compassion and giving. The work does not stop with the 30 Hr. Famine, but we can also help by sponsoring a child in need. For more information, please check out the World Vision website.

The International AIDS Conference will also be taking place in Toronto from Aug. 13-18. World Vision is also looking for volunteers for this event, so if you are available or would like to attend, please check out http://www.worldvision.ca/home/get-involved/events/
